Yes. In Florida, both an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) can lead to RN licensure. Both pathways require passing the NCLEX-RN examination and meeting the Florida Board of Nursing’s requirements. The ASN is a shorter, more affordable pathway that allows graduates to enter the nursing profession sooner. Some RNs who begin with an ASN choose to pursue a BSN later through RN-to-BSN bridge programs while they are already working.
