I attended the HHA (Home Health Aide) program at FVI School of Nursing and Technology. The class was small (approximately 10 students) which allowed for more one-on-one time with the professor. The class was held on Fridays and Saturdays which worked perfectly with my university schedule. While my first language is English with limited Spanish as my second language, I did experience a few language barrier issues as the majority of the students at the school only speak Spanish or have very little knowledge of English. My professor, Mr. Onel, was very patient and accommodating as were my other classmates (a few spoke English as well). They were able to translate things I didn’t understand, and it was a great multicultural and multilingual learning experience for everyone. Overall: I recommend this program.
