At FVI School of Nursing and Technology (FVI), we offer a test prep course designed for a working Medical Assistant or MA student wanting to pursue a certification as a Nationally Registered Certified Coding Specialist (NRCCS). The course includes exam review materials with electronic practice exams. Students will also be taught test taking strategies and techniques to increase their chances of passing the exam.

What Can I Expect?

At FVI, our medical coding and billing NRCCS Test Prep course is designed to give you the skills you need to pass the Nationally Registered Certified Coding Specialist (NRCCS) exam.

The Nationally Registered Certified Coding Specialist (NRCCS) designation demonstrates to colleagues and employers that certified individuals have the medical billing and coding knowledge and proficiency required for work in health care and medical billing settings.

Divided into five, eight-hour Saturday sessions, our program can teach you:

Medical Coding and Billing Work Environment

As a medical coding and billing specialist, you’ll work with doctors, hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. In this position, you’ll be responsible for using medical codes to input patient information. This gives their physician accurate records so they can provide better healthcare services, and allows insurance companies to properly process medical claims.
