Dr. Forbes is one of FVI’s amazing Nursing instructors and an amazing part of our team. She has been vocal in her love for her students and her role at FVI, however, she has also played an important part in her local community. From April to September, every 3rd Thursday of the month, Dr. Forbes holds 90 mins meetings to help the elderly live better lives. Each meeting helps to discuss different disease topics, specifically diseases that affect the elderly, such as high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and more! Through these meetings, many people in the community are educated on how to detect signs of various diseases, preventative care, and ways to be healthier. She even goes above and beyond by educating family and friends of the elderly on how to care for them in the event that they are suffering from a major health condition.
We feel so honored to have someone like Dr. Forbes here at our organization. She is the epitome of a person who truly cares, both at the school and in her personal life, about those around her and developing ways to help them in ways that she can.
